The Great Dane Company was founded by Tad Largey in 1987.  Tad Largey started his business as a general contractor, who specialized in fine interior finish work.  It wasn't long before a small shop took shape in his one car garage. 

By 1989 Great Dane had moved into the Whittenton Mills, in Taunton Massachusetts.  Great Dane resided there for sixteen years.  During this period, Great Dane made a name for itself in fine custom cabinetry.  Our work can be found in some of the finest residences in the Metro Boston area.

Great Dane still provides the same level of casework, but now our manufacturing is done in Quebec City, Quebec.  Great Dane and Option Kitchen have forged a partnership.  Tad Largey is able to provide design and engineering to our projects, while Option's manufacturing capabilities are state of the art.  When you put the two together you have a high quality, finely designed product.
